Let’s Hear It for the Boys: Celebrate Men’s Health Month

This article is for educational purposes only and is not medical advice.

If you’re the kind of guy who’d rather assemble a grill without instructions than admit you’re stressed, exhausted, or struggling with your health…you’re not alone.

A lot of men were taught to push through. Ignore it. Walk it off. But this Men’s Health Month, we’d like to suggest another approach: pay attention before your body demands it.

Whether you’re on a GLP-1, thinking about one, or simply trying to feel better in your own skin, we’ve got your back.

Health Beyond The Scale

GLP-1s have helped many people finally feel like they’re working with their bodies instead of fighting them. But the journey isn’t always a straight line.

For men, questions often pop up around muscle loss, energy levels, testosterone, sleep, and plateaus. The good news? These aren’t signs that you’re failing. They’re part of the conversation.

One of the biggest things to focus on is preserving muscle as you lose weight. No, you don’t need to become the guy posting gym selfies at 5 a.m. But adding strength training a couple times a week and prioritizing protein can help support your long-term health and keep you feeling strong.

Side effects like nausea or fatigue can also be part of the experience for some people, which is exactly the kind of thing to raise with your medical team rather than trying to push through on your own.

Sleep & Stress Matter

If your snoring has become a running joke in your house, it might be worth paying attention. Sleep apnea is more common than many people realize and can affect energy, mood, focus, and overall health.

Then there’s testosterone. Hormones naturally shift over time, and factors like stress, poor sleep, and excess weight can play a role.

And while we’re in Men’s Health Month, let’s talk about mental health.

Stress. Anxiety. Feeling overwhelmed. Frustration when progress stalls. These experiences don’t make you weak—they make you human.

You don’t have to carry all of it by yourself.

Ah Yes, the Plateau

At some point, almost everyone hits one.

Before you give up on healthy habits, remember: plateaus are normal. Your body may need time to adjust, your routine may need a small change, or you may simply need a reminder that one frustrating week doesn’t erase months of progress.

Don’t give up!

A Few Things to Try This Week

  • Add one strength workout to your schedule.
  • Make protein part of your meals.
  • Ask your partner if your snoring deserves an honorable mention.
  • Check in with yourself about how you’re doing mentally, not just physically.
  • Reach out if you need support.

You’re Not In This Alone

Some weeks you’ll feel unstoppable. Other weeks you’ll wonder why the scale won’t budge. That’s normal.

We believe support should go beyond medication. Through our medical team, educational resources, webinars, partnerships, and community, we’re here for the questions, the wins, the setbacks, and everything in between.

Because taking care of yourself shouldn’t feel like a solo sport.

And guys? We’ve got your back.
